Governor Nelson Gets Ethanol Coalition Award

The 21-member Governors' Ethanol Coalition gave its first-ever special recognition for outstanding service award to Nebraska Governor Ben Nelson for his past efforts to expand the use of ethanol in the nation. The award was presented by Iowa Governor Terry Branstad at the Coalition's October meeting in Des Moines, Iowa.

The Governors' Ethanol Coalition has members from 20 states including Nebraska, the territory of Puerto Rico and two international members, Brazil and Sweden. Nelson was instrumental in the formation of the Coalition in the fall of 1991.
