Nebraska's Ethanol Production |
|
In 2007, ethanol production capacity in Nebraska doubled from the previous year to reach nearly 1.3 billion gallons due to plants completing expansion projects and plants becoming operational. In the graph below, production is shown from 1985 to 2007 and projected for 2008 and 2009. In 2008, ethanol production is projected to increase 38 percent from 2007 due to two plant expansions and six plants becoming operational. In 2009, ethanol production is expected to increase from 2008 as the result of at least one ethanol plant becoming operational and with many plants under consideration. The five tables at the bottom of this report show each plant's annual production or capacity from 1985 to 2007 and projected capacity for 2008 and 2009. |
