Ethanol and Unleaded Gasoline Average Rack Prices

As of November, 2008, the rack price of ethanol was $2.10 versus $1.33 for unleaded gasoline--a difference of 77 cents per gallon.  The ethanol rack price was 41 cents lower compared to last month's price but two cents higher than a year ago.  This is the second consecutive month that unleaded gasoline's average rack price took a huge drop--69 cents from last month's price which reached $1.19 lower than a year ago.  The main factor contributing to the decline is the decreasing price of crude oil.
