Ethanol and Unleaded Gasoline Average Rack Prices

As of November 2006, the rack price of ethanol was $2.25 versus $1.65 for unleaded gasoline--a difference of 60 cents per gallon.  Unleaded gasoline's average rack price in November was three cents higher than the previous month and ten cents higher than a year ago.  The ethanol rack price was 36 cents higher in November compared to the price in October, after declining $1.33 over the last several months from the peak of $3.58 in June.  The drop in price was possibly due to supply catching up with demand.
