Natural Gas Consumption Per Consumer,
Cost Per Consumer, and Number of Consumers in the
Residential and Commercial Sectors in Nebraska

Residential

In 2010, the number of residential consumers decreased by 1,775 consumers to 510,776; average annual consumption per consumer increased one thousand cubic feet to 79 thousand cubic feet; and the average annual residential natural gas bill decreased $22 to $707. The average annual residential natural gas bill set a new record of $922 in 2008 topping the previous records of $870 in 2007 and $854 in 2001.

Commercial

The number of commercial consumers in 2010 decreased by 208 consumers to 56,246. The average annual consumption per commercial consumer increased barely 2 percent to 572 thousand cubic feet, and the average annual commercial natural gas bill decreased 3.5 percent to $4,044.
