The price of $3.98 in 2010 was a huge jump of $1.01, or 34 percent, from the price in 2009 although it did not
offset the decrease in 2009. The price of $2.97 in 2009 was huge drop of 52 percent from the estimated price in
2008. The estimated price of $6.22 in 2008 was an increase of nearly 30 percent from the estimated price in 2007.
The estimated price for 2007 had increased 13 percent to $4.86 from $4.29 in 2005. Note: The
average wellhead price of natural gas is unavailable for 2006 and
is estimated for 2007 and 2008.
