Natural Gas Annual Consumption in Nebraska |

In 2005, Nebraska used 119.1 billion cubic feet of natural gas, an increase of 3.6 percent from 2004. The industrial sector consumed 34 percent of the total, the residential sector consumed 32 percent, and the commercial sector consumed 23 percent. The electric power and transportation sectors consumed 6.8 percent and 3.8 percent, respectively. Within the residential sector, according to the “2005 American Community Survey”, 66 percent of Nebraska households used natural gas as their primary heating fuel. |
