Refineries in the nation are operating at 82.5% capacity. Gasoline: Midwest production is
2,201 thousand barrels per day--an increase of 0.8% (or 18,000 barrels per day) from last
week. Diesel:
Midwest production is 774 thousand barrels per day--an increase of 2% from last week. Heating Oil: Midwest production is 170 thousand barrels per
day--a decrease of 23% from last week. Propane: Midwest production is 189
thousand barrels per day--a decrease of 4.1% from last week. |

Gasoline: Midwest inventory (or PADD II) is 49.1 million barrels--0.8% (or 400,000 barrels) less than last week's inventory level and 3.5% less than last month's level with inventory levels in the normal range. The Energy Information Administration maintains a benchmark for national stocks at 200 million barrels. As of October 28, the national stock level is 196.9 million barrels. Diesel: Midwest inventory (or PADD II) is 18.6 million barrels--2.8% more than last week's inventory level but 8.4% less than last month's level with distillate inventory levels at the bottom of the normal range. Heating Oil: Midwest inventory (or PADD II) is 6.8 million barrels--3% more than last week's inventory level but 2.9% less than last month's level with distillate inventory levels at the bottom of the normal range. Propane: Midwest inventory (or PADD II) is 24 million barrels--0.8% (or 200,000 barrels) more than last week's inventory level but no change from last month's level with inventory levels in the normal range. As of October 28, the national inventory level is 69.4 million barrels. Natural Gas: The East Region's inventory, of which Nebraska is a part, is 1,882 billion cubic feet--0.8% (14 billion cubic feet) more than last week and 30 billion cubic feet above the 5-year average. For the week ending October 28, the national inventory level is 3,168 billion cubic feet. Close to 3 trillion cubic feet by the end of October is generally considered to be adequate for winter demand. |
