Nebraska Gasoline and Diesel Prices

For the week of July 24, Nebraska's average gasoline price rose one cent per gallon from the previous week to $2.98, which was 67 cents higher than the price at this time last year. Weekly average prices in surveyed cities ranged from $2.95 in Columbus and Omaha to $3.08 in North Platte. As of July 21, the Midwest gasoline stock level was in the normal range with 51.8 million barrels.

Nebraska's average diesel price increased four cents to $3.13 per gallon. According to the weekly price report, this week's state average was 71 cents higher than the price at this time last year. Weekly averages in the surveyed cities ranged from $3.07 in Columbus and Norfolk to $3.17 in North Platte. On the supply side, the Midwest distillate fuel inventory level was below the normal range with 21.4 million barrels of diesel fuel as of July 21.

Regular unleaded gasoline is regular unleaded motor gasoline with an 87 to 88 octane. Diesel fuel is fuel used for internal combustion in diesel engines.
