Nebraska Gasoline and Diesel Prices


For the week of May 1, Nebraska's average gasoline price fell five cents per gallon from the previous week to $2.87, which was 67 cents higher than the price at this time last year.  Weekly average prices in surveyed cities ranged from $2.82 in Grand Island to $2.91 in Norfolk.  As of April 28, the Midwest gasoline stock level was above the normal range with 52 million barrels.

Nebraska's average diesel price increased two cents to $2.92 per gallon.  According to the weekly price report, this week's state average was 62 cents higher than the price at this time last year.  Weekly averages in the surveyed cities ranged from $2.90 in Grand Island, Lincoln, Norfolk, and North Platte to $2.95 in Kearney.  On the supply side, the Midwest distillate fuel inventory level was below the normal range with 20.4 million barrels of diesel fuel as of April 28.

Regular unleaded gasoline is regular unleaded motor gasoline with an 87 to 88 octane.  Diesel fuel is fuel used for internal combustion in diesel engines.
