Nebraska Gasoline and Diesel Prices


Nebraska's average gasoline price rose two cents per gallon from last week to $2.34, which was 45 cents higher than the price at this time last year.  Weekly average prices in surveyed cities ranged from $2.25 in Columbus to $2.38 in Omaha.  As of January 20, the Midwest gasoline stock level was above the normal range with 55.7 million barrels.

Nebraska's average diesel price increased two cents from last week to $2.52 per gallon.  According to the weekly price report, this week's state average was 50 cents higher than the price at this time last year.  Weekly averages in the surveyed cities ranged from $2.47 in Columbus and North Platte to $2.57 in Kearney.  On the supply side, the Midwest distillate fuel inventory level was in the normal range with 23.1 million barrels of diesel fuel as of January 20.  This is the first time since October 28, 2005, that the distillate fuel inventory level has been in the normal range.

Regular unleaded gasoline is regular unleaded motor gasoline with an 87 to 88 octane.  Diesel fuel is fuel used for internal combustion in diesel engines.
