Nebraska Gasoline and Diesel Prices


This week, Nebraska's average gasoline price fell 4 cents per gallon from last week to $2.24.  Over the past six weeks, retail prices have dropped a total of 67 cents per gallon.  Nevertheless, this week's price is 27 cents higher than the price at this time last year.  Weekly average prices in the surveyed cities ranged from $2.14 in Norfolk to $2.23 in Lincoln and North Platte.  As of November 4, the Midwest gasoline stock level was in the normal range with 49.8 million barrels.

Nebraska's average diesel price dropped 26 cents per gallon from last week to $2.75.  According to the weekly price report, this week's state average was 62 cents higher than the price at this time last year.  Weekly averages in the surveyed cities ranged from $2.61 in Columbus to $2.81 in Lincoln and Omaha.  On the supply side, the Midwest distillate fuel inventory level was below the normal range with 18.2 million barrels of diesel fuel as of November 4.

Regular unleaded gasoline is regular unleaded motor gasoline with an 87 to 88 octane.  Diesel fuel is fuel used for internal combustion in diesel engines.
