Nebraska Gasoline and Diesel Prices


Due to continuing refinery outages, prices of petroleum products are expected to increase even more over the next few weeks.

Nebraska's weekly average gasoline price increased 10 cents from last week to $2.78, which was 87 cents higher than the price at this time last year.  Weekly average prices in the surveyed cities ranged from $2.69 in Grand Island to $2.84 in Omaha.  As of September 23, the Midwest gasoline stock level is at the upper boundary of the normal range with 52.4 million barrels.

Nebraska's diesel average increased 8 cents from last week reaching $2.80 per gallon.  According to the weekly price report, this week's state average was 81 cents higher than the price at this time last year.  Weekly average prices in the surveyed cities ranged from $2.76 in Grand Island to $2.84 in Omaha.  On the supply side, the Midwest distillate fuel inventory level was in the normal range with 21.8 million barrels of diesel fuel as of September 23.
