Nebraska Gasoline and Diesel Prices


Nebraska's retail gasoline price decreased one penny from last week to $2.22 with metro prices ranging from $2.17 in Columbus to $2.26 in North Platte.  This week's state average was 38 cents higher than the price at this time last year.  This week, the Midwest Region was the only region to see a decrease in price, which was 0.7 cent per gallon.  As of July 1, the Midwest gasoline stock level was at the bottom of the normal range with 50.8 million barrels.

Columbus joined Grand Island, Kearney, and North Platte in breaking diesel price records this week.  As a result, the state's average finally beat its recorded high.  The state average retail diesel price increased one penny from last week to $2.37 per gallon with metro prices ranging from $2.33 in Columbus to $2.38 in Kearney.  According to the weekly price report, this week's state average is 63 cents higher than the price at this time last year.  The Midwest distillate fuel inventory level was in the normal range with 21.9 million barrels as of July 1.
