Wind Energy Generation by State

Nebraska is ranked twenty-first in installed wind capacity in the country, based on the latest federal figures.  As of March 2008, Nebraska had the capacity to generate 73 megawatts of electricity with wind, which is less than one percent of the nation's total capacity.  Texas has the largest generation capacity (5,317 megawatts which is 29 percent of the nation's total), and Arkansas has the smallest generation capacity (0.1 megawatt).

The American Wind Energy Association has developed a map for added convenience.
