As of June 2008, the United States had the capacity to produce 9,250.4 million (9.3 billion) gallons of ethanol and had plans for an additional 4,358.0 million (4.4 billion) gallons. Nebraska's capacity was 1,231.5 million gallons, or 13 percent, of the nation's capacity. Nebraska had 434 million gallons capacity under construction or in plans for expansion. |
