As of February 2007, the United States had the capacity to produce 5,633.4 million (5.6 billion) gallons of ethanol and had plans for an additional 6,194.9 million (6.2 billion) gallons. Nebraska's capacity was 655.5 million gallons, or 12 percent, of the nation's capacity. Nebraska had 690 million gallons capacity under construction or in plans for expansion. |
