As of November 2005, the United States had the capacity to produce 4,149.4 million (4.1 billion) gallons of ethanol and had plans for an additional 1,248.5 million gallons. Nebraska's capacity was 533 million gallons, or 13 percent, of the nation's capacity. Nebraska had 24.5 million gallons capacity under construction or in plans for expansion. |
