The U.S. Department of Energy's Center for Sustainable Development has undergone a name change: Smart Communities Network. While the focus of the information available at the site remains unchanged, the organization and emphasis will be toward creating and organizing communities and towns that incorporate energy efficiency as part of an overall strategy to improve the local economy, benefit the environment and enhance the quality of life.
