New WIND Tool for Utilities...
Webinar July 14, 2015: Wind Integration National Dataset (WIND) Toolkit

The Southern Alliance for Clean Energy will be holding a webinar July 14, 2015 at 2p.m. Central Daylight Savings Time. The webinar is provided to help utility companies, grid operators, and other stakeholders interested in wind energy integration. Collecting large quantities of high-quality data on wind energy resources is vital to project development plans. However, time constraints, budget constraints, or technical expertise often limit data-collecting efforts. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Vaisala/3Tier recently published the Wind Integration National Dataset (WIND) Toolkit, which includes wind energy resource data for more than 126,000 sites from around the country. Webinar presenters from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's National Wind Technology Center include Dr. Caroline Draxl, a Senior Scientist, and Dr. Bri-Mathias Hodge, a Section Supervisor for System Planning and Reliability. You may signup for the webinar at NREL's website.
