A February 15 conference in Lincoln, “Funding the Future of Renewable Energy,” will provide technical expertise on renewable energy with a goal of increasing the amount of energy produced from renewable resources in the state. Thomas C. Dorr, Under Secretary for USDA Rural Development, will keynote the event.

The one-day, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., conference on February 15 will provide a panel style discussion where attendees will interact with experts from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Nebraska Public Power District, state commodity boards, University of Nebraska as well as private wind developers, financial resources and federal and state representatives.

The conference is open to the public, but registration is required. The site of the conference is the East Campus Union in Lincoln.
